Latest news - 1st April 2011 - Were now covering the Detling Area...

Medway Community Responders are delighted to announce that our response coverage now includes the village of Detling and surrounding areas. From April 2011 residents of the area will benefit from a responder located within Detling after the group has expanded to include this area.

We continue to seek donations to increase our coverage in Detling which is currently covered on a limited basis of some evenings and weekends. If you are a resident of Detling and would like to support the scheme please get in touch - donations and potential fundraising opportunities are welcomed.

January 2011- Christmas Draw Results

Christmas Draw - Medway Community First Responders would like to thank all those who supported this years Christmas Draw. The draw took place at Medway Ambulance Station on 15th December 2010 and all prize winners have now been contacted.

This year we raised a total of £345.55 - a huge thank you to all those who supported us.

We continue to seek donations to help up increase the numbers of responders in the Medway area. If you can help in any way please email us as contact@medwayresponders.org.

8th October 2010 - We're in the Medway Messenger

Look out for us in this weeks edition of the Kent Messenger!

We have a series of articles planned to raise awareness of the work we do in the local community. We will keep you posted with up and coming events, fundraisers and opportunities to come and meet some of the team.

We are a charity and have to fund all of our own equipment, so anything that you donate during this campaign will go towards expanding our team to provide better cover in the Medway towns.

21st July 2010 - Life-savers praised at responder awards

Gerald Farrow, Medway, (Kent) is praised for the support and training he has provided and for having developed the Medway team to such an extent, the decision was taken to split the team into three different areas to encourage more growth. Read the full story
